Comforting Words

I kind of stole this idea from my friend at waiting for baby bird, but wanted to share with you from my personal journal of Bible verses. I keep a little journal where I record verses that really speak to me about the journey I am on. Some I have come across from infertility devotionals, other devotionals, encouragement from others or my own personal study. I hope these also speak to you in your time of need.

God’s Promises

“I am the vine and you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” John 15:5

“Ah Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you”  Jeremiah 32:17

“‘For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the Lord; ‘plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future'” Jeremiah 29:11

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointment you so that you might go and bear fruit–fruit that will last– and so whatever you ask in my name, The Father will give you” John 15:16

Asking “Why?”

“Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.” John 9:3

“My comfort in my suffering is this: your promise preserves my life” Pslam 119:50

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” John 16:33

Encouragement

“In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” Phillipians 4:6

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” Romans 15:13

“Take heart daughter, your faith has healed you” Matthew 9:22

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” Matthew 21:22
